The next day, the sentry woke up the students.
"Aaron," said Sora, "the rain has damaged the gunpowder. We're low on ammunition."
"We're the only barricade left," Aaron informed him.
"What?" Sora said incredulously, and Sinbad and the students turned, wondering if they had heard right.
"We're the only ones left," Aaron said.
Aaron: The people have not stirred
We are abandoned by those
Who still live in fear
Let us not waste lives
Let all who wish to
Go from here
There was silence and uncertainty, until Timmy began to sing.
Timmy: Do you hear the people sing
Singing the song of angry men?
The students joined in.
Students: It is the music of a people
Who will not be slaves again
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes!
With that, the students took their place on top of the barricade with their guns.
"Aaron, we need more ammunition," Hayner (Kingdom Hearts 2) said in concern

Sinbad came out to the barricade and all the students turned to him. Sinbad nodded to Aaron, stating that the deed had been done.
Aaron: Asbel, you take the watch
They may attack before it's light
Everybody, keep the faith
For certain as our banner flies
We are not alone
The people too must rise
Aaron walked over to Sora, who was busily trying to build the height on the smaller barricade, and said, "Sora. Rest."
Once they were inside, they began to drink.
Jack: Drink with me
To days gone by!
Students: To the life
Timmy: To the life
Students: That used
Timmy: That used
Students: To be
Timmy: To be
All (except Sora and Sinbad): At the shrine of friendship
Never say die
Let the wine of friendship
Never run dry
Students: Here's to you
Timmy: Here's to you
Students: And here's to me
Sora: Do I care if I should die
Now she goes across the sea?
What Sora didn't know was that

At the Rue de l'Homme Armee, Timmy ran up the stairs to Sinbad's apartment. Once he arrived at the door and knocked, Sinbad opened the door a crack and saw Timmy.
"Letter from the barricade," said Timmy.
Sinbad looked puzzled, as he asked, "From the barricade?" Then he thought, Who would send a letter from the barricade? He held his hand out for the letter and said, "I'll take it."
Timmy held his hand out and Sinbad gave him a coin.
Timmy handed the letter to him and said, "Something for me, something for you. Who needs charity?"
Timmy began to leave until Sinbad said, "Oi, Timmy." Timmy turned. "You stay away from there now, you understand?" Timmy nodded and left.
Sinbad unfolded the letter and read it.
Sinbad: "Dearest Sophie
You have entered my soul
And soon you will be gone
Can it be only a day
Since we met?
"If I should fall in the battle to come
Let this be my good-bye
Now that I know that you love...
